Itsykini is a brand of sexy resort wear designed for women with their own unique vision of fashion. Designed as a customizable bikini, Itsykini gives women the option of combining eclectic patterns and colors to create their own one-of-a-kind beachwear.

Itsykini is a Parisian brand that was created from a love for quality in material and appreciation for detail. Itsykini is a company that stays true to its European roots, designed in France and manufactured with the highest quality materials in Portugal. Created in 2011 by Annie-Claude Toledano Chouraqui, Itsykini aims to make a splash in the bathing suit industry.
Itsykini’s name pays homage to Brian Hyland’s infamous Song Itsy Bitsy. The bikinis come in black, silver and gold to allow the eleven interchangeable ribbons to pop. The women who wear Itsykini have character and love to play and adapt their clothing to fit their ever changing mood and personality. Itsykini is conceived with love, joy and humor.

Biography:
French designer Annie-Claude Toledano employs visions of creative forms in her bathing suit designs. Since her beginnings by the sea in Casablanca, she has been inspired by her love of the ocean. Bathing suits symbolize her fondest childhood memories and she began customizing her own bikinis as early as her teenage years. From incorporating embellishment to ropes, ribbons and cords Annie-Claude made sure her bikinis were constantly unique.

With a degree in psychology and twenty years working in the advertising industry it wouldn’t seem likely that Annie-Claude would pursue a career in fashion. However, throughout her profession she never forgot her original ardor. In 2011 Annie-Claude finally decided to turn her love for bathing suits and knack for design into a business and that is how Itsykini, customizable bikini, was born.

Drawing inspiration from the sixties, sirens like Ursula Andress in the iconic scene from “Dr. No” and Brigitte Bardot in the movie “Et Dieu crea la femme”, she began designing sexy bikinis. Annie-Claude created Itsykini with love for women to be able to change their bikinis to match their ever-changing moods and desires.

This season in addition to the classic collections Giovannio has created special edition pieces for press only. These hats are one of a kind and uniquely made.

Soft yet bold style is apparent in the spring/summer 2012 collections:

Trend hats – come in neutral colors with a touch of blush, and hint of shimmer woven through the fabric. The new Soho influence is apparent in these eclectic hats.

Beach hats - Luxurious Palm Beach style is channeled into this collection with straw and sewn braid hats designed with larger brims for optimum sun protection. Bright colors like red, turquoise and fuchsia compliment the oceanic colors mixed with natural elements woven into feminine shapes.

Emma B. draws inspiration from European style along with derby fashion from Lexington, KY to Monterey, CA. The collection has very distinct shapes created with sinamay and shantung fabric while adorned with feathers and flowers. The color palette is sophisticated in silvered and grayed pastels amid some hints of brighter colors.

Men’s collection is inspired by the modern man who dresses for success. From fedoras to drivers, these hats have refined details in neutral shades popped with brighter tones.

New York, October 27, 2011 – The Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Bella Borz is here!

Emilce Borz returns this season with her original and avant-garde designs for handbags and accessories.

This spring, the story plays with geometry, and masculine femininity. Both merge seamlessly together in a collection inspired by unisex aesthetics incorporating the simple perfection of high quality and functionality so true to the Bella Borz brand. Free from superfluous detail, Bella Borz pieces evocate the lasting elegance and quality that will stand the test of time.

The collection was inspired by the surprisingly beautiful combination of everyday shapes with exotic hues and materials from far away lands. Organic shapes and clean edges of soft and sturdy Italian lamb and cow leather are the focus of this collection creating feminine lightweight handbags and pouches. In a play with masculinity, the handbags have an extreme minimalist feel, adorned only with zipper accents, gleaming gold hardware and bold shades to create striking pieces. The warm nudes are infused with bright natural hues inspired by mandarins, azalea, and sunflowers giving the collection a sophisticated and vibrant edge.

Toronto Fashion Week

Toronto, October 20, 2011 – Yesterday at 4pm Marie Saint Pierre presented the spring and summer 2012 collections at the tents, David Pecaut Square in Toronto. The exhibition was designed so that guests could get up-close and personal looks at the new designs with six still mannequins on risers in the middle of the space surrounded by eight models. Guests sipped on tea from David’s Teas for a relaxing cocktail hour providing a break from the usual buzz of fashion week.

THE COLLECTIONS:

The spring 2012 collection introduces and integrates knot detailing, sculpted faux-leather rope effects, layers, transparencies and an alluring mix of tone on tone materials. With a focal point on ribbons, filaments and trims, the designer remains true to her signature chic yet relaxed style.
The summer 2012 collection integrates ultra light, breathable material with bold colors like red, green and metallic gold. Fluid and transparent layers organically drape the body, perfect for hot summer days to nights.
